I’m Steffen Kemmerzehl, qualified accountant and AAT-licensed professional.

My journey with numbers began in Germany, where I studied and researched at the University of Jena and tutored students in statistics and mathematics. I have always enjoyed working with numbers, but what matters most to me is helping people use them to solve real life problems, especially when finances feel complicated or overwhelming.

After moving to Newcastle over seven years ago, I gained experience working in local accountancy firms. I went on to complete my AAT qualification and became a licensed bookkeeper and accountant (AATQB, MAAT).

In 2024, I founded Friendly Assist Accountancy with a simple goal to provide friendly, clear, and stress free support with accounting and tax. I work especially with clients who feel overwhelmed, including those with self employment, overdue tax returns, or more complex financial situations.
