A little bit about me

I’m Steffen Kemmerzehl, a qualified accountant and AAT-licensed professional.

My journey with numbers began in Germany, where I carried out research at the University of Jena and tutored students in statistics and mathematics. Numbers have always fascinated me, but what excites me most is how they can solve real-world problems for people and businesses — especially when finances are complicated, international, or overdue.

After moving to Newcastle over seven years ago, I gained hands-on experience with local accountancy firms before earning my professional accounting diploma with the AAT and qualifying as a licensed bookkeeper and accountant (AATQB, MAAT).

In 2025, I founded Friendly Assist Accountancy with one clear mission: to make accounting approachable, modern, and supportive — particularly for clients with international income, cross-border business, or late and messy tax returns.
